Our story
Built by a lifelong learner

The Spark
It started in college. Joe Billman spent hours creating physical flash cards and reviewing them over and over. The method worked, but the process was tedious. That frustration planted a question he couldn't shake: what if reviewing and learning could actually be fun?
The Pattern
Over 20+ years in software engineering and EdTech, that question kept resurfacing. The same problem existed everywhere: educators spending hours building review content, only to watch learners disengage. Existing tools were either too complex to set up or too shallow to provide real insights.
The Build
BrainFusion was built in Utah, combining that original question with decades of experience in software development, learning design, and AI. Every game mechanic maps to a proven cognitive science principle. Every analytics feature was designed with a real educator's workflow in mind.
